Completing the K1300 series for '09 is the brawny R model, which receives all the updates of the S model, with the drivetrain and running gear suitably modified to meet the requirements of a large-capacity naked bike. The R's engine is not detuned from the S specification, and shorter final gearing gives it even more acceleration-just what we need.
